Norma Baker - Curate

Norma Baker.jpg

Hello, my name is Norma. I grew up in rural Lincolnshire and went to Sunday School in the local parish church.  My grandmothers, Ginny, a Methodist, and Dorothy, a high Anglican, were women of prayer.  I’m sure that their prayers have paved the way for me to have faith in Jesus and to follow Him.  Prayer is so important and I love to encourage others to chatter to God and pray, confessing the powerful word of God over all we may face.

I was ordained Deacon at Exeter Cathedral on Saturday 29th June 2024 and joined St Pancras the following day for a morning of praise, worship and thanksgiving; my first day of serving you all as Curate.

To come alongside others, listen to them and lovingly serve and help them is my heart.  I love to share my faith and pass on the treasure that I have been given.  I am married to Andrew and we celebrated our silver wedding anniversary this year by staying on the Island of Mull; we saw otters, eagles and went over to Iona Abbey.  To relax I put on my wellies, work in the garden and marvel at God's creation.
