Bridging the Gap (Ladies)

Bridging the Gap is a programme of social events for ladies. Meetings are on the second Monday evening of each month, beginning at 7:30pm and take place in the church lounge, unless otherwise stated.

Ladies you are warmly invited to any of the meetings below and are very welcome to bring a friend.

There is usually a charge of £1.00, which includes tea/coffee and biscuits, though occasionally more when a meal is served,       


This year we are supporting the Foodbank and asking you to bring one item from the following list to each meeting :

Tinned tomatoes, tinned rice pudding, longlife milk, longlife juice, tinned vegetables, tinned meat, tinned fruit, tinned fish, toiletries (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, feminine hygiene, toilet rolls, soap).  Stationery (for Office use) - A4 paper (white and red), envelopes, stamps.

Bridging the Gap is a monthly meeting for ladies. The programme includes a range of social events and presentations about a variety of causes and organisations. 

Meetings are on Monday evenings and there is also a smaller group meeting on Thursday afternoons for those who are unable to come out during the evening.

Movie Night : Hidden Figures. Start time : 7.00pm. There will be an interval for ice cream and popcorn.

12 Mar 2018 Pizza and Puds. With a quiz and reflections from Kerrie Willmott’s holiday in Australia and New Zealand.
9 Apr 2018 Speaker, Nina Wearne, Community and Events Fundraising Manager, St Luke’s Hospice.
14 May 2018 Curling. Try your hand at this traditional Scottish sport. No experience necessary !
11 June 2018 Movie Night : Murder on the Orient Express (the 2017 remake with a host of stars including Kenneth Branagh,  Judi Dench and Penelope Cruz). 7.00pm.
