Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy describes what data we collect about you and how we use this information.

How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

The website www.stps.org.uk does not use cookies for tracking visitor statistics, but cookies are used to remember your preferences for variables such as font size.

If you choose to create a user account (which will need to be authorised by a moderator to confirm you are a current member of St. Pancras Church) and sign into the site using the ‘remember me’ checkbox, this will also store a cookie on your computer.

Overall, cookies help provide you with a better website, by enabling sites to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest and websites maintained by staff and volunteers of the church. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question. Typically, links to other websites will open a new browser window.

Third party cookies

St. Pancras Church uses websites such as Flickr, Vimeo and YouTube to show image galleries and films. Pages from these providers may use cookies. As some of these services are based outside the UK and the European Union, they may fall outside the jurisdiction of EU and UK laws. If you are concerned about this, you can visit the Information Commissioner's website for more information, or change the cookies settings on your browser (see above). St. Pancras Church also maintains a presence on social media channels including Facebook. If you share content from the St Pancras website, a cookie may be used by the service you have chosen to use to share that content. St Pancras Church does not control these cookies. You should check the relevant third party main website for more information.

Hall Bookings

The church hall at St. Pancras is available for parties and community groups. Hall users have use of the car park. To enquire about booking the hall for your party or meeting, please contact the church office on 772499 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Hire of the hall includes access to the kitchen area where there is a hot water boiler, a sink, a fridge, basic food preparation facilities, and also china cups, plates and cutlery. It is suitable for preparing hot drinks and pre-prepared food but not recommended for major catering or cooking tasks.

Normal hire rate, including use of the kitchen, is £16 per hour. This may be negotiable for longer term bookings.

Please note that it is not possible to book the hall at all on Sundays or over Bank Holiday weekends. Also there may be restrictions on the times when children's parties can be booked in order to avoid disruption for other activities which may be taking place in adjacent rooms.

We also have a lounge which provides a flexible space to use for meetings and smaller gatherings. Please contact the church office for more information
